Nest’s housewares department is where our values checklist converges. Recycled glass dishes, handmade ceramic bowls and mugs, eco-friendly bamboo bowls, and handmade hardwood cutting boards and utensils, all combine exquisite beauty with reliable function. Whenever possible, we work with local artisans, although we have learned that on the spectrum of local and global, local can mean Maryland, or the Mid-Atlantic region, or east of the Mississippi, or U.S.-made.

We offer domestic recycled glass from The Green Glass Company. Our ceramics come from potters across the United States – from our friends in Jacksonville, Florida to our neighbors in Dayton, Maryland. Our wood items are often made in Canada, like our beautiful Larch Wood cutting boards. Made in Virginia, Weatherland Chimes’ wind chimes hang by our door and often stop people in their tracks with their beautiful tones.
